This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Face Rating Test at face-rating-test.pages.dev (the "Service"). The Service is run by an independent developer ("we", "us").
The short version
- Your photo never leaves your device. Face detection and measurement run inside your browser. We never receive, upload or store your photo.
- Facial points never leave your browser either. The points the model places on your face are biometric information, so they are not sent to us, to analytics or to anyone else.
- Everything is cleared when you close or reload the page, or when you press "Clear photo and start over". Your photo, facial points and scores are never saved in cookies or local storage.
- We use Google Analytics to count page views and button clicks. It never receives your photo, your facial points, your scores or anything you enter.
- The Service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not sell personal information.
1. Your photo and facial data
When you choose or take a photo, after confirming you are 18 or older:
- The photo is loaded into your browser's memory.
- Software in your browser (Google's open-source MediaPipe Face Landmarker, served from this site's own files) finds points on your face, such as the corners of your eyes and mouth and the outline of your jaw.
- Your browser measures distances and angles between those points and shows the result on the page.
The photo, the facial points and the scores stay on your device. They are not sent to us or to any third party, and they are not used to identify you. The measuring model and its files are hosted on this site, so no third party sees your visit to load them.
If you use your camera, your browser asks for permission first, and the camera stops as soon as the photo is taken.
2. Biometric information notice
Some laws treat facial geometry as biometric information. Our practice:
- Collection: we do not collect, capture, receive, store, use or have access to biometric identifiers or biometric information, including your face image or facial geometry. The measurement runs only in your browser, on your device, and its output is never sent to us.
- Consent: before you can choose a photo, you confirm that you are 18 or older and agree to the on-device measurement. You can stop at any time by clearing the photo or closing the page.
- Purpose: to measure symmetry, proportions and jawline of the photo you choose, and show you the result during your visit.
- Retention: none by us. The data exists in your browser's memory while the page is open and is removed when you clear it, reload or close the page.
- Sale and disclosure: we never sell, lease, trade or disclose it, because we never have it.
3. Information we do collect

We do not ask for your name, we do not create accounts, and we do not collect payment details: there is nothing to buy yet. Analytics events never include photos, facial points, scores or anything you chose or entered.
Legal basis, retention and transfers. For visitors in Europe, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we use Google Analytics only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Elsewhere we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the Service is used. Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months and then deletes it automatically. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to reply and are deleted within 12 months. Google and Cloudflare may process this data in the United States and other countries, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We use Google Analytics cookies only:

If you visit from Europe, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these cookies are off until you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. The choice itself is stored in your browser as a single word, "granted" or "denied".
Wherever you are, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and we do not use your data for advertising. Our site does not change its behavior based on "Do Not Track" signals.

Neither provider receives your photo or facial data.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. The only personal information we may hold is analytics data linked to a browser cookie and any email you send us. We hold no photo or facial data, so there is none to delete. Write to us on the contact page to make a request.
7. Children
The Service is for people aged 18 and over. You confirm this before you can choose a photo. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Material changes will be shown on this page.
